Introducing

Regulate™

Nervous system practices for high-functioning women whose bodies reject the usual advice.

What's inside

17 guided audio practices organized by what your nervous system is actually ready for today, not what a wellness app assumes you should be able to handle. Three tiers. You don't have to climb them in order. Pick the one that fits the day you're actually having.

Regulate guided audio practice preview

Warm-up

5 tracks

Under 7 min each

Mindful check-ins, gentle noticing, tapping, somatic tracking. They ask almost nothing of you except to show up and pay attention — no forcing, no performing, no pretending you're further along than you are. Start here, without apology.Rooted in somatic tracking — a core technique from Pain Reprocessing Therapy.

Intermediate

5 tracks

7–20 min each

Breathwork progressions, belly breathing, walking meditation. For when your body isn't actively fighting you and you have a little more to give. Each practice asks just slightly more than the last. You'll never hit a track and feel like you got the bait-and-switch.Drawn from breathwork protocols used in clinical hypnosis and stress physiology research.

Extended

4 tracks

20–30 min each

Co-regulation, guided visualization, deeper practices. You work your way here when your body is ready. Or you come back in six months when something has shifted. Lifetime access means you get to let this unfold at the pace your nervous system sets, not the pace your ambition would prefer.Built from the guided practices I use in my 1:1 therapy sessions — adapted for solo use.

Why these aren't like other nervous system tools

Most nervous system practices floating around online are adaptations of adaptations — techniques picked up in certification programs, softened for mass appeal, and stripped of the context that made them work in the first place.

These aren't that.

Every practice in Regulate is rooted in evidence-based protocols — Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy, clinical hypnosis, somatic regulation — the same methods used in peer-reviewed research on chronic pain and nervous system dysregulation.

I didn't learn these from an online course. I learned them across 8 years of doctoral training and thousands of hours sitting with clients whose bodies had stopped responding to the typical stuff.

That's why the practices are tiered by intensity — because knowing what to practice matters less than knowing what your nervous system can actually receive. And that's something I've spent my whole career learning to read.

Regulate is not therapy. It's not a clinical relationship. But it is built by someone who does that work every day — and that shows up in every track.

Regulate education videos and nervous system practices preview

8 videos

Videos: the science of why "just relax" makes you want to punch a kitten

These aren't filler. They're what make the practices work. Doing a breathing exercise you don't understand is just following instructions. Doing one where you understand exactly what it's doing to your nervous system is when it actually becomes yours.

Lifetime access

Come back whenever your nervous system needs it. At the pace your nervous system sets, not the pace your ambition would prefer.

For less than your weekly coffee order, $47 gets you 17 clinician-designed practices and 8 nervous system education videos rooted in pain psychology research.

These are the same techniques I use in my clinical pain psychology practice — where sessions range from $150 to $425. But you’ll get the goods, on demand, to be used any time, any hour, you need.

Here's what nobody told you

Your nervous system has been running in overdrive for years, maybe decades. It learned to stay that activated because that’s the motor that kept you going — pushing through the pain, the stress, the relentless demands, the hectic schedule, the full calendar.

Your physiology adapted to the chaos by keeping you in the survival mode your life demanded. And then someone handed you a meditation app and said "relax." That b*tch.

That's like asking someone mid-sprint to sit down and read a book. Your nervous system is primed to read that request as a threat. When a body is stuck in survival mode, "sit still and be quiet" can feel like a threat. And deep breathing can feel like gasping underwater.

That’s not your body resisting relaxation. That's your body believing it needs to protect you from it. So no —

You weren't bad at meditation.
You weren't "too stressed" for breathwork.
You weren't the one woman on earth that relaxation just doesn't work for.

You were handed tools designed for a nervous system that doesn’t match where you’re at.

What shifts when you start where you actually are

Before Regulate

  • You've started to wonder if you're the problem.
  • You're managing through sheer willpower.
  • You keep counting on crashing later.

After Regulate

  • You understand why the usual tools didn't work — and that it was never about you.
  • You have proof your nervous system can shift.
  • You have a toolkit matched to where your body is today.

First, it’s going to be different. Learning curves are a real phenomenon. And you might even feel some grief too that it’s taken you so long to finally get here.

Then, something shifts mid-practice. Your shoulders drop. Your jaw unclenches. You know it's a small change, but you hope it counts. It absolutely does.

Then you turn to it for support. You’re no longer fighting the practice.

And all of a sudden, recovery isn't a concept anymore. It's just something you know how to do for yourself.

Stop doing relaxation the hard way.

I'm here to help you work with your nervous system, not against it.

Here's why it's taken this long.

You're holding it all together — and then your body drops every ball at once. No warning, no buildup. Just suddenly you're in it: the pain, the tension, the crash. And you're standing there wondering how you got here again.

So you do what you always do. You turn it into a project. You overhaul your diet, start the workout plan, curate your social media until every other post is about nervous system regulation.

Because you don’t just want answers, you want something to do.

Doing something is how you've solved every other problem in your life.

And when the doing doesn’t work, you try to relax.

You try the breathing exercises. They make you feel panicked.

You try the meditation app. You last four minutes before your brain is screaming your to-do list.

You try the yoga. Savasana feels like lying in your own stress.

So you try harder. A different app. A different teacher. A longer session.

You tell yourself maybe you’re just not doing it right. Or you stop trying altogether, because honestly? It was dumb. It didn't work. And it kind of makes you want to punch a kitten.

Either way, you end up in the same spiral.
Why does breathing always make me feel worse?
What's wrong with my body?
Why the hell can't I relax?

Pain psychologist + the voice behind Regulate

Why this exists

I’ve been there, trust me.

Eight years of grad school will either make or break you. For me, it did both.

For a long time I genuinely believed in the high-achiever formula: work hard, meet the standard, get the approval, feel good. Rinse and repeat. And for a while, it really worked.

I ate up the academic game. I was hitting every mark, checking every box, performing at exactly the level everyone said I was supposed to. But slowly I started to notice my body was not having it… unexplained pain, trips to the ER with no clarity at discharge, hair-skin-nail issues no biotin could fix.

I thought I was doing everything right, but I was miserable and my body wasn’t hiding it. I kept pushing anyway, though, because beauty is pain and success is hard, right?

Then things turned genuinely sour. I was going through something hard, and instead of being supported, I got penalized. Made into an example by the exact people who were supposed to help me grow. First it crushed me like a bruised peach; the walls caved in and I was crushed underneath.

Then it lit a fire.

I had run myself completely ragged, given everything I had. And it still wasn't enough. That's when the formula stopped making sense.

I stopped trying to perform relaxation the way the textbooks said or how people who didn’t get me were recommending.

I stopped feeling apologetic that my body was saying no.

And slowly the internal comparison chatter quieted. The voice of kindness and grace became louder than the voice of perfectionism.

And the constant monitoring of what other people thought, whether I was doing it right, whether I was enough — started to lose its value.

The hardest part was trusting that doing less was still doing something.

I had dark-night-of-the-soul moments where I felt like a complete failure, as if slowing down was just a fancy way of quitting. And I had to learn that those moments were part of the process, not proof it wasn't working.

That distinction changed everything.

It's the reason I shifted my entire clinical focus — away from what I'd originally planned, into health psychology, chronic pain, the intersection of emotions and physical symptoms. I followed what pulled me: the complex cases, the fringe tools like hypnosis, the clients who were driven and stuck at the same time.

And somewhere along the way, I realized I'd built an entire career around helping women going through exactly what I had. So when I say these practices were built for your nervous system — I mean it. I built them from the inside out.

Meet your teacher

Dr. Anahita Kalianivala smiling

Hi, I'm Dr. Kalianivala

I'm a clinical psychologist specializing in chronic pain and nervous system dysregulation for high-achieving women.

I work with women whose bodies have been absorbing the cost of their success for years. The ones crushing it professionally while falling apart physically and emotionally. The ones who've tried everything and finally decided they must be the problem.

I built Regulate because I kept seeing the same thing over and over in my practice — women who needed a way to start. Something to reach for between sessions, or before they were even ready for therapy at all.

After years of clinical work with clients living with chronic illness, chronic pain, and nervous system dysregulation — using Pain Reprocessing Therapy, EAET, clinical hypnosis, somatic regulation, and EFT — I've cracked the code of what practices actually need to come first. And I’ve developed a spidey sense for the ones a dysregulated nervous system will reject.

Consider me your nervous system Columbo; I'm really, really good at meeting somebody exactly where they are and helping them find the entry point their nervous system will actually accept. These aren't generic meditation tracks I found online. They're the same practices I use live with clients, recorded so you can press play whenever you need them.

If you sat across from me and said "I know I need to relax but I can't get there by myself" — I'd say: okay, here's where we begin.

So for you, this is where we begin...

Who this is for

This is for you if

You've tried meditation, breathwork, or yoga and it didn't work — or made things worse.

You live with chronic pain, migraines, or a nervous system that won't turn off.

You're tired of being told to "just relax" by people who don't understand you're not actually sure what that feels like.

This is not a replacement for therapy or medical treatment. But if you're already working with a therapist and need something to practice between sessions, this is exactly what it was built for.

Get Regulate — $47 → For a limited time only

At this point, you might be thinking:

This is too cheap to be real. I don't have time to work through 17 tracks. I don't have 30 minutes a day to become a calm person.

Here's the thing: I built Regulate as a full progression for a reason, and I want you to move through it.

But this isn't a program that only works if you complete every track.

You could press play on a single warm-up, love it, and still get your money's worth — because you're getting the same techniques I use in live sessions that run $150 to $425, on your own time, for a fraction of the price.

Here’s what happens if you only ever press play on the warm-up tracks:

A daily reset that fits your actual life

Under seven minutes. No equipment, no setup, no carving out a sacred hour you don't have. Something you can actually do on a Tuesday.

Proof that your nervous system can shift

Right now you're not sure it can. And you need to feel it happen before you'll believe it, which is completely fair. The warm-ups are where that proof starts.

Something to reach for on your worst days

Instead of white-knuckling through it and paying for it later. A track to press play on when everything is too much and you have nothing left to give.

A way to interrupt the spiral before it takes over

You know the one. Now you have something to do about it instead of just waiting it out.

The rest of the program is there when you're ready for it. But if all you ever do is come back to these five tracks on the days when you need them, that alone is worth more than the 7 lattes you exchanged for the price of this course.

Pricing

A 30-minute session with me is $150. In that time we might get through one practice together, in real time, with me there to help you troubleshoot it.
Regulate gives you 17 practices, the science behind them, and the ability to press play when your nervous system is on fire at 1am and the people you'd usually call for support are fast asleep.

FAQ

Is this therapy?

No. This is an educational toolkit with guided practices. It's not a substitute for therapy and it's not a treatment plan. It's a set of clinician-built tools you can use alongside whatever else you're doing — or on their own.

I've literally never been able to relax. Will this work for me?

That's exactly who this was built for. The warm-up practices start at 5 minutes and ask almost nothing of you — just noticing, not changing. And the education videos will help you understand why relaxation has been hard, which for a lot of women turns out to be the thing that changes everything. When you stop blaming yourself and start understanding your nervous system, the practices land differently.

Is this only for people in chronic pain?

Nope. If you have a nervous system running on overdrive, in fight-or-flight, or ever-present survival mode for any reason — chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, etc. — these practices will meet you where you are.

How is this different from nervous system tools I'd find from a coach or on an app?

Two things. First, these practices come from evidence-based clinical protocols — Pain Reprocessing Therapy, EAET, clinical hypnosis — not adapted wellness content or certification-program techniques. Second, I'm a clinical psychologist, not a coach. I built Regulate from years of working with women whose nervous systems had stopped responding to the standard advice. The tiered system exists because I know what a dysregulated body can actually tolerate — and most tools skip that step entirely. Regulate isn't therapy, but it's built by someone who does therapy. That's a different starting point.

Is this only for women?

This program is for anyone whose system exhales when they find this page. I primarily work with women, but none of the practices are gendered.

What if it doesn't work for me?

Start with the warm-ups after watching the educational content. Give your body a chance to experience at least three different practices, and try each of those at least three times before you decide it hasn't worked. If you do all of that and nothing shifts — not even your understanding of why — reach out. I want to know.

What if I want more support?

If Regulate helps you realize you want more personalized support, there may be options to work with me more closely. Depending on fit and availability, that might include applying for my 1:1 therapy container or joining a future group-based offering when it becomes available. Regulate is a great place to begin either way — it gives you a shared foundation for understanding your nervous system and practicing the tools I teach most often.

Ready when you are

You've known for a while that something needs to change.

You've probably known it for longer than you'd like to admit. And you keep putting it off — because you're busy, or because you've tried things before and they didn't work, or because part of you is still waiting for a version of self-regulation that feels like less of a risk.

The warm-up tracks ask almost nothing of you. Five minutes. No performance, no getting it right, no proving you're the kind of person who can do this. Just press play and see what happens. That's the whole ask.
