What We Help With
-
Patients experiencing ongoing or recurrent pain without a clear medical explanation—such as tension headaches, pelvic or gastrointestinal discomfort, back pain without injury—may benefit from online therapy that address both physical sensations and emotional responses.
-
If pain is significantly disrupting your patients’ daily activities—including work, social engagements, or household tasks—they might find benefit from coping strategies to manage and control these effects better through pain-focused online therapy.
-
Patients dealing with anxiety, depression, or heightened stress levels related to chronic pain can gain coping mechanisms and emotional support to improve overall well-being.
-
Clients who may be avoiding certain movements or activities due to fear of pain or flares may benefit from therapeutic techniques aimed at gradually reintroducing these activities safely—and addressing any non-physical barriers to progress.
-
Patients interested in learning self-regulation techniques, such as mindfulness or cognitive-behavioral strategies, and who already understand the impact their emotions and mindset may have on pain are especially likely to benefit from pain psychology tools.
What Sets Us Apart
Hi, I’m Dr. Kalianivala — but you can call me Anahita
I help people with chronic pain reclaim their lives—one step, one breath, one moment at a time.
I’m a clinical psychologist who specializes in the intersection of chronic pain, trauma, and mental health. My approach is warm, direct, and evidence-based—rooted in the belief that while pain may be part of someone’s story, it doesn’t define who they are.
My practice is built on integrative and client-focused chronic pain management, blending evidence-based therapies with mind-body strategies to support the whole self. Whether clients are feeling overwhelmed by symptoms, anxious about medical procedures, or just exhausted by the daily weight of it all, I’m here to help them find relief, strength, and a renewed sense of possibility.
