What Sets Us Apart

Hi, I’m Dr. Kalianivala — but you can call me Anahita

I help people with chronic pain reclaim their lives—one step, one breath, one moment at a time.

I’m a clinical psychologist who specializes in the intersection of chronic pain, trauma, and mental health. My approach is warm, direct, and evidence-based—rooted in the belief that while pain may be part of someone’s story, it doesn’t define who they are

My practice is built on integrative and client-focused chronic pain management, blending evidence-based therapies with mind-body strategies to support the whole self. Whether clients are feeling overwhelmed by symptoms, anxious about medical procedures, or just exhausted by the daily weight of it all, I’m here to help them find relief, strength, and a renewed sense of possibility.

Let’s Connect

If you’d like to explore how we can work together—or simply learn more about my services—I’d love to connect!

I welcome referrals and am always happy to collaborate with therapists, physicians, physical therapists, and wellness providers.

Let’s build supportive care pathways together.

Ways To Collaborate

At Alcove Mental Health, we believe in the power of collaboration to enhance care and outcomes.

Some ways we can work together:

  • Would you rather send clients straight to me vs wait for them to self-refer? Let’s streamline the referral process with a built-for-you system that allows you to directly (and securely) refer patients to me to access the chronic pain care they need.

  • For complex or multidisciplinary cases, I’m available for collaborative consultations with other healthcare providers. Together, we can ensure your patients receive the most comprehensive, well-rounded care by integrating pain psychology strategies with medical, therapeutic, and other interventions.

  • Looking for a deeper dive? I’m available to present to your team about my available services (or even to brainstorm a custom offering). I am also happy to provide educational talks on behavioral pain management and related mental health topics.

  • I can provide printed materials for your office(s) to make it as easy as possible for your care team to share information with their patients.
