Become Who You Were Meant to Be

You’ve spent your life becoming who they needed.

It’s time to stop living for the “shoulds” and come home to your truth.

Hi there, I’m
Dr. Kalianivala

(but you can call me by my first name, Anahita. Hear how to pronounce my name.)

I’m probably not your first therapist, but I might be the last one you’ll need.

Because I know this isn’t your first rodeo.

You’ve done everything they said would help.

You’re strong, capable, and self-aware.

But something still feels off.

  • You’re rewriting texts five times before sending.

  • Replaying conversations the other person already forgot.

  • Saying “I’m fine” when your chest is aching otherwise.

  • Wondering why you just can’t feel better, even after all your efforts.

It’s not that you didn’t try hard enough.

Or that you have some fatal flaw.

You’re not too sensitive, too much, or not enough.

It’s that you’ve been conditioned to survive in systems, relationships, and roles that were never designed to hold the full you.

This is where the un-doing begins

To discover your truth
beneath the pushing and proving,
the bypassing and apologizing.

i'm ready for a new way

Do any of these feel familiar?

  • You’ve felt the moment your body tightens with a “no” while your voice gives a “yes.” Where “I’m sorry” slips out on instinct, and your throat holds all the words you didn’t say so no one gets upset. You’ve been carrying the weight of keeping the peace, even when it costs you your own clarity, comfort, and truth.

  • Your mind spins before your feet even touch the floor. Conversations loop, to-do lists stack in your chest, and your body stays tense like it’s bracing for the next shoe to drop. You handle everything, hold everything, anticipate everything — and still feel a relentless pressure to keep it all together.

  • You know too well that sensation of running on adrenaline long after your tank is empty. You move from one crisis to the next, saying yes with a tight jaw and a tired heart, hoping things will ease but never actually slowing down. Rest feels foreign (if not unsafe) and you worry that stopping would cause everything to fall apart.

  • You know how draining it is to wake up already feeling behind in your own body. You’ve tried resting, pushing, “doing it right.” And still, it’s like your energy slips away before the day even begins. You move in cycles of effort, crash, and confusion — wondering if you’re missing something or if your body is just broken. And you’re tired of feeling like the body you live in is a place you can’t rely on.

  • You keep waiting for a “full body” yes, but it feels like work to get there. And if you get a twinkle of it, it’s hard to trust. You’re instantly overwhelmed and torn by options and opinions. It’s getting harder and harder to hear yourself — even though you know your inner wisdom has something to say. You rehearse conversations, choices, and outcomes and still feel unsure. You ask for advice, then feel resentful the second someone gives it. You want to trust yourself, and you almost do. But the moment of decision feels like walking a tightrope between disappointing others and betraying yourself.

If your system exhaled or said a quiet “yes” to any of these, this work can help.

I call it Slow Therapy.

The kind of space that moves at the pace of your breath, your body, and your inner truth. Not at the speed of pressure, performance or perfection.

A lot of therapy you’ve done before will ask you to explain what happened.

My work asks you to invite all parts of your experience into the room:

  • your thoughts and the meaning you make of a situation

  • the emotional and cognitive memories you have about it

  • the way you’re feeling right now

  • what your body is yearning to share with you

  • and all the ways this complexity works to shape who you are and who you want to be.

That’s what I believe truly helps people embody their desired shifts.

Because healing doesn’t just “stick” when you “get it.” It sticks when your nervous system (and all your other parts!) feel safe staying in what you’re feeling.

That’s why this is different:

  • Instead of talking about your emotions, we experience them in real time

  • Instead of pushing past signals, we get curious about what your body has been trying to say

  • Instead of parroting “I’m fine,” we create space where you’re allowed to be a bit messy, a bit undone

  • Instead of coping (or gritting) your way through, you learn how to truly unwind

This is mind-body integration: where your mind, emotions, and physiology actually start talking to—and working with—each other.

Ways to Work Together

I believe healing happens when we stop performing and start listening...

  • To the body

  • To our parts

  • To what’s been pushed aside

That’s why I created The Un-Doing: a deeper, more immersive space for sustainable change.

But I also know that transformation begins where you are ready.

And sometimes session-by-session therapy is exactly the right container.

Whichever feels right to you, we’ll always create a space that moves at your pace and makes room for what is real.

What We Might Explore Together

Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, and therapy here isn’t just “talking.” These are the ideas, strategies, and discoveries we’ll dig into: equal parts science, soul, and practical tools to help you find real relief.

  • → Why rest is NOT a reward—it’s your birthright. (And your nervous system agrees.)

→ Why you’re crashing at the end of the day, feeling numb, checked out, & like joy is a distant memory.

  • → Ways your body has been talking to you—AKA how to decode the signals you didn’t know were clues.

→ What your body might be trying to tell you. (yep, even if no one’s figured it out yet).

→ The science behind why your pain flares when your stress does. (You’re not imagining it—and yes, we can work with it.)

  • → Why hitting goals doesn’t make you happy anymore. (You’re not broken, by the way.)

→ Why the burnout-achievement loop isn’t your fault, how it messes with your body and brain—and what to do instead.

  • → How to fully harness your brain's ability to change, for the better. (This time, you’re taking control)

→ How to escape survival mode. (Spoiler: there is an exit route, and I am here to help you find it.)

→ How to find your way back to you. It’s not just about coping—it’s about reclaiming your voice and your fire.

  • → How strategies like hypnosis and mindfulness work in harmony with the textbook cognitive therapies.

→ My favorite strategies for navigating chronic pain, burnout, and the brain that refuses to chill.

→ Developing your personalized game plan for navigating life with meaning, zest, and joy.

  • → Customized tools—rooted in science, grounded in soul—to help unravel the thought patterns that are not serving you.

→ Strategies to uncover the unconscious patterns that quietly run the show.

→ How to let go and let it be easy. Healing is allowed to be easy.
